It is so amazing to me to see all these different Bogar's through out the world. I am a Bogar by marriage, my husbands family hails from Kentucky, but we now currently reside in Florida.

Oh my goodness I didn't know that there was so many people with the last name Bogar. I thought I was the only one. Weird. So wuz up to all you Bogar familys!

I am sitting with my sister, Cathy Bogar Cooney, in her Denver area home. Our mother, Mary Lou Bogar, has been doing quite a bit of geneaology research to determine where we came from. Hi everyone. As you brought to my attention, the guestbook had not been working properly. I made some adjustment in December of last year, and it wasn't until recently, that I realized you weren't able to post messages. (First I thought the reason I was not getting new comments was that people were not visiting my webpages. But I am glad to see, that it was due to an error in the script. :-)) The problem seems to be fixed now. I apologize for the error and, as always, appreciate your comments and feedback.

My family is also of Hungarian decent. I currently live in Sterling,VA. but my relatives settled down in Selinsgrove, PA. Most of my relatives, aunts, uncles, and cousins still live in PA. I find it interesting that Matthew Bogar signed your guestbook and he grew up in Selinsgrove. I may be related.

All in america and mostly michigan and ohio. I don't think I will figure this out on the internet though. I am going to have to hit the road and check out courthouses. Great to see a Bogar web site. My grandparents have a family tree book that dates as far back as the mid 1700's, Hungarian decent of course. I would love to talk to any Bogars who would be interested in what I do or are from my area. I grew up in Selinsgrove Pa. I am now living in the Jacksonville Fl. area. Suprised to see the website. My family has been in the us since the 1600's. I found out that my roots went back to Hungary by accident. It was through a friend of my wife that escaped Hungary after WWII.Hope to hear from other Bogar's.
